Boost your metabolism by sleeping more
March 16th, 2007    Subscribe To Our FeedOne of the easiest ways to boost your metabolism is to ensure that you get more than five hours of sleep a night.
Researchers have found that when you get more than seven hours of sleep it normalizes the levels of your appetite-regulating hormones - leptin and ghrelin - and you’re less hungry.
On the other hand, when you’re awake for longer, you get hungrier, and you’re more tired. This means that you will eat more, and won’t want to exercise: this leads to an increase in weight.
So - do yourself a favor and get enough sleep. Your metabolism will thank you.
